The Sewing Summit Diaries - Part Deux

I think LT was trying to break some kind of 'no sleep' record, but we made it down to our first class if not bright eyed and bushy tailed, lively enough to be torturing Rachael from Imaginegnats whose fabric we were sharing in the Shapes and Angles class, as LT's was in her bag that was still in Paris...  Doesn't she have a cool pencil case?  I think they suit me...

Anyway, we did some sewing of partial seams.  Didn't I do well?  We didn't have an iron...

I also helped Ella out with her Maxi skirt:

Then I made a new friend in the gift shop, but LT wouldn't bring him home with us...

And after all that we had to go to a bar for the SLMQG mixer, where I got to do a bit of hanging about on the bunting before LT won a prize - fabric, just what she needed...

We may or may not have got irrationally excited by the appearance of this by the time we got back to the hotel that night:

By this time sleep was something we vaguely remembered in our dreams, but alas, not a lot more was to be had that night, even after a drink!

The next day we went to a bunch of lectures, and I got to play with some new friends:

Di from http://www.randomthoughtsdoordi.com/
Laura from http://www.needlespinsandbakingtins.com/
We might also have needed a bit of this to try and get us through the day:

I think I'd make a great teacher for this class, don't you?

Allegory wasn't convinced...

But at the end of the day we got to snuggle under these:

Whew, I was a worn out little bear after all that, but look at all the loot we have to take home!

LT says to look out for a giveaway in the next week or so...

Hmm.... you are making Lots of friends LT. I think the pencil case is the coolest thing. You could almost hide in there.
Tell Katy she does need some sleep.

Good to see you again and to catch up with all your adventures. I like the jeans they suit you.
LT is really mean not letting you bring home that giraffe.
Interesting to see all the loot too. I see LT managed to get a couple more wee begs, just as she was getting short. She is definitely the wee begs champion.
I hope LT has started to sleep again, himself is quite concerned. Enjoy the scenery.
Hugs,
Jock

Wow, little bear, I'm quite worn out just reading about this, so I can't imagine how you must be feeling - especially as your only being Coke to run on! What happened to good old-fashioned Southern Comfort or some kind of local hooch? I just hope LT isn't going to make you carry home all that extra junk - sorry, new supplies, but if she does, you tell her you need a raise!
Looks like you've made some lovely new friends and I'm sure there are lots more folks out there just waiting to get acquainted with a handsome fella like you.
Take care and look after each other.
Hugs

Are you sure you can't bring the giraffe home - I'm sure he'd fit in LT's bag if she ditched some of that fabric. I can't see any biscuits in that pile of goodness but if there are then make sure she doesn't ditch them...life rule #2 Never get rid of biscuits...

Jack -

Just a little thing to think:

With all that loot, I'd make sure you are still going to have a spot for yourself. She might not mean to leave you behind but if it's between you and some fabric or something, she might just toss a coin. Not that she'd do that sort of thing....

I'm just sayin' think about it.

have fun my friend,
Sebastian
